Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident subscribing to Ignite Learning Studio. This page sets out exactly how refunds work — both your rights under UK law and our own promise to handle billing issues fairly.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service (Section 5). Where the two say the same thing, the Terms govern.

Free trial — no charge, no refund

Every new account gets a 7-day free trial. We don’t ask for payment details up front, so there’s nothing to refund if you decide not to continue.

Your statutory cooling-off period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days from the start of a digital service contract to cancel and receive a full refund.

For digital content delivered immediately, this right ends as soon as you start using the paid Service after subscribing. By subscribing and continuing to use Ignite, you acknowledge that this right ends at the moment of first use.

If you subscribe but do not use the Service in the 14 days that follow, you can email us to request a full refund within that window.

Cancellation outside the cooling-off period

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until then, and there’s no further charge after that.

We don’t generally refund the unused portion of a billing period, including unused months on an annual plan.

When we will refund you

Even outside the statutory window, we will refund you in the following situations:

  • Billing errors — you were charged the wrong amount, charged twice, or charged after a confirmed cancellation
  • Service was substantially unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side
  • You were charged for an annual renewal you didn't intend (we'll pro-rata the refund)
  • Anything else where UK consumer law gives you a refund right

We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 working days and to process approved refunds within 10 working days. Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe.

How to request a refund

Email hello@ignitelearning.ai from the address linked to your account. Tell us:

  • The plan you're on (monthly or annual)
  • The date of the charge you'd like refunded
  • A short note on what's prompted the request

We won’t need to interrogate you. The questions exist to help us find the right Stripe transaction quickly.

Your wider statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where UK law gives you a stronger right than this policy describes, that statutory right prevails.
